I sit here in front of the computer today going over my notes, checking the store, watching Dustin, going over my schedule for today and trying to see how I can make this work that much easier and it becomes that much harder. I am a pretty organized person don’t get me wrong, at times it is just organized chaos around here but I always know what’s going on or where to find something so it is easy being in a state of chaos. Sometimes it is just easier to go with the flow instead of trying to change it,…

I should really be doing some paperwork today but hey I have time to write a quick post! Today is my catch up day, I need to finish my monthly planning get my new routines underway and finish off the chores for today otherwise dirty clothes for the rest of the week! I put on Netflix for Dustin because when you’re almost 2 Curious George is where it’s at! I moved my laptop to the dining room table so I can keep an eye on him and my plan was to get some paperwork done because it’s the start of…
Don’t get me wrong I am one to ramble but when it came to writing a post about meditation I was at a loss. How to put my Month Of Meditation into words was a major block for me. I could describe the feeling, for the most part. I was calm, relaxed, peaceful, and rejuvenated ready to conquer the world! Meditation is like a “pause button” for me. It helps manifest fun and appreciate what I have. It’s a retreat to let go and just be. Even a moment of reflection can bring more positivity into your day. Find…
Wow! I am back from a great vacation and ready for a fresh start!! This week is going to be all about focus, well week and a half, I didn’t set any goals for week 8 so it is just kind of flowing into my goals for week 9 and 10! On my coaching call with Lora from PLC this morning I decided to take action towards making life easy! On top of that Frank and I are doing a health and fitness month together along with my sister and his Mom, on another 30-day challenge! It’s going to be…
Wow, time flies when you are enjoying life and having fun living it! I can’t believe we were in Vegas last week. Tomorrow marks a week since our skydive, and I can’t wait to share my thrill ride of a lifetime! It seems like my life is working perfectly lately and I can fit a lot of family time in and enjoy it! It has been a long time since I’ve been able to forget about most other things and just enjoy the moment, I credit that greatly to my meditation – which is a whole other post so that…
Wow, where do I start?! I’m sitting in the hotel room this morning awake by myself thinking of all the great memories we made this past week and in all honesty I’m at a loss for words on what to write. I can say that I have a whole new perspective on my goals and what I want in life. I had the opportunity to jump out of a plane with my husband and his best friend and seeing Frank free fall out of the plane and then jumping after made me realize I can do ANYTHING I want to…
In honor of our current vacation to Vegas I thought it was appropriate to post a recipe on how to make homemade popsicles. At home we use Tupperware Popsicle moulds but feel free to experiment with what you have on hand. Cheyenne’s idea was to re-use plastic cups with our craft popsicle sticks, or for mini ones use an ice cube tray and toothpicks! If you have a good idea let me know would love to hear it! Quick and Easy Summer Popsicles for Kids Easy Summer Popsicles Recipe Type: Summer Snacks Author: Real Momma Prep time: 10 mins Total…
Hey all! It has been a fantastic week since I got home so many great things have happened and time is just flying by, I am unsure of week 8 goals. I should have my goals already planned out but it seems like I am at a loss for motivation. It is funny though because so many great things have happened lately and I have a lot of goals I’ve accomplished with so much planned for my vacation. Can you believe I’m going skydiving?! It is almost unreal to think of it. I can’t wait to see what will happen…
If you read my last post things have got a little crazy this week and so much for routine and a smooth easy life but hey I think it is always a nice reminder of why I made the changes I have lately. Today it feels like I’m treading water, which might just be me making excuses and not trying harder but I am EXHAUSTED mentally and physically. So for week 7, I think I am allowing myself to take it easy and use it as a catch-up week to get back on track to where I want to be.…
It has been a minute since my last post, it is rather crazy how life just gets away from a person sometimes. Between figuring out travel arrangements for the funeral, work, and kids there isn’t much time for anything else. So here is my week in review. I got home from a great trip in Vegas and got to see a lot of my favorite country music stars live on top of relaxing in the sun, who could ask for a better last-minute trip. I found out my Grandma had passed away when I was in the airport (Monday)…
Well, it has been a little time since my last post and so much has happened in this past week. I was able to check another thing off my 101 list!! Yeah me!! I had a spontaneous last-minute trip to Las Vegas to enjoy some of my favorite country music artists in concert, and lay by the pool and take in some sunshine :). Just thinking of it makes me all relaxed and reminds me to enjoy life. I encourage you to make a 101 list. Since I did it I have got so many great life experiences just happening…
Wow, where has the time gone, seems like just yesterday I was wanting a new challenge and trying to get out of my comfort zone so came up with my 90-Day Challenge! I can say a lot has changed in such a short time for me and I am LOVING LIFE! Grab a cookie and some tea for the week 5 chat of a little about me. Week 5 – A Little About Me Last week was crazy busy, I think mostly because of spring break and trying to balance everything. And with Easter around the corner makes things seem…
The slow cooker is my best friend on most days, makes meals so easy! For the most part that is. Here is one of my favorites lately. I usually modify the recipe to what I have on hand in the cupboard and it is great to freeze and reuse! You can use slow cooker beans and frozen corn instead of canned and it works perfectly! Might as well cut out the sodium if you can and use my homemade taco seasoning recipe as well! Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup
Had to share this one with all of you a great shop today!! Whoot! Whoot! Yeah me, 49% savings :). So you might ask how did I do it and what did I buy? Of course I quickly went through my coupons (I am lucky enough to remember what I have) and made sure everything was current, then I hit the Safeway site! Checked out their online flyer and their online coupons this week. I won’t bore you with my whole purchase but the highlights were: turkey for .99/lb Woolite zero for .84/bottle wraps 50% off (safeway email direct coupon)…
Hello all! This post is a couple of days late but I was enjoying my mini-vaca with the kidlets. I cannot believe that a month is almost up which means I’m almost 1/3 done with my 90-day challenge! A lot has changed in these past weeks and I feel amazing! I feel more centered and relaxed not to mention I am getting out of my comfort zone a lot more lately which for me is a huge challenge because I love staying home and minding my own business, just the fact that I’m sharing my goals and well life with…
My latest grocery shop was a huge success and I saved 50% on my groceries and I didn’t purchase anything I didn’t need! Best part is it was so easy so I thought why not share it with all of you. I haven’t been actively couponing for very long so I’m not an extreme couponer by any means but I do manage to save a decent amount of money. To get started is easy, at first I used what I call an envelope system and divided by coupons into categories: food, personal and pharmacy, baby and kids, household (toilet paper,…
I’m still here! I may be a little frazzled around the edges but I seemed to hold it together over the weekend!! Trying to find a few minutes of free time after a busy weekend with Frank away and then him right back to work. Funny how there doesn’t seem to be enough time to get some “down time”. Grab a coffee and sit down for my week 3 a little about me chat. Week 2 was a breeze, the exercise was simple even though I managed to kick it up a notch and fit a workout in each day,…
Not sure about all of you but I’ve always been interested in meditation, just could never find my groove. I am just so amazed at how the simple act of breathing has so many benefits to all of us and it is something nobody can take away! I have been attempting to meditate and would really like to work my way up to doing it daily for 15-20 minutes. I am going to add it to my routine over the next week and make sure I’m doing it daily even for 5 minutes and notice the benefits! What an easy…
Welcome to the second week of my 90-day journey. Grab a cup of coffee and join me for a little about me update! Week 2 – A Little About Me Week 1 was definitely a challenge for me, you don’t know how hard it is to give up heavy carbs, especially when everyone around you is eating them and your secret weakness is bread. But I prevailed and managed to only indulge in a couple bruschetta and lasagna this past week. Drinking extra water was hard at times and I found out the hard way not to drink your…
Well, today was a dull day but I do have to say a lot of fun and I got some rest that I needed! My sister came over for a quick visit this morning which was nice to see her but she’s kicking my butt in our getting healthy challenge we have going, I successfully lost $20 to her for this week, hopefully, I make it back next week. Library Adventure Since the kidlets didn’t want to do much today and Dustin has a fever again Cheyenne and I decided to go on an adventure to the library. I have…
