Not sure about all of you but I've always been interested in meditation, just could never find my groove. I am just so amazed at how the simple act of breathing has so many benefits to all of us and it is something nobody can take away!
I have been attempting to meditate and would really like to work my way up to doing it daily for 15-20 minutes. I am going to add it to my routine over the next week and make sure I'm doing it daily even for 5 minutes and notice the benefits! What an easy and free way to work on finding balance, I can't wait. I may even head to the library to pick up a few books and do some research or buy a new meditation cd/mp3.
There is a lot of scientific research done around the benefits of mediation, the most interesting to me was the neurologic benefits found in numerous studies, basically the “mind over matter” phrase that is so common. It really makes me think of the infinite possibilities we have if we just believe in ourselves. There are a few studies noted on wikipedia.
