Ok so I know I haven’t been that great at getting new posts up lately or recipes, or vlogs, I’ve pretty much been slacking. Well I have some exciting news!!! I sold my business and am going to be a stay at home Mom/blogger now!!! I am VERY excited. This is the last week we will own the business and then its over! The journey since 2008 has been amazing, I was able to work with my husband and sister while enjoying the perks of owning my own business. But with perks also comes headaches. I’m sad to say that…

Welcome to Summer! My favorite part is the warm summer nights, now if only the rain would stop so we can enjoy them. What is your favorite store to shop at? For me I LOVE the outlet malls in Vegas when we go there, mind you I haven’t done much shopping lately because my closet is a bit full and needs a makeover. My latest place to shop is the online boutique, Kintage (which is no longer in business), which I placed an order but haven’t received yet but I’m sure excited for it to arrive! If you could afford anything and everything,…
Another week has come and gone and I’m happy to answer these questions about pet peeves just for you! What is your biggest driving pet peeve? The funny thing is we live in a super small town, seriously population of 5000, and I hate it when people don’t drive the speed limit or don’t follow the rules of the rude seriously peeves me. My biggest pet peeve has…
I have to admit that I am an early riser most days unless it is the third night shift for Frank and I haven’t slept for what feels like a month because Dustin decides to stay up until all hours of the night. My kids however would prefer to sleep in, it doesn’t matter if they go to bed at 7 pm or 1 am they like to sleep in. Which brings me to the whole waking up early on school days thing, Cheyenne is well SLOW every school day for many reasons including she thinks they play too much…
I like to find activities for the kids that keep them busy, are easy to clean up, and they get a finished product out of it. Since the weather is nice and the kids sleep better after playing outside all day I brought out one of their favorite activities – paint! And both of their favorite items – ROCKS! Most of us have all the items on hand to do this fun outside activity so it costs next to nothing. I covered their picnic table with paper off of a roll end I bought from the local newspaper which…
Be A Shield Against Accidental Death I am lucky enough to have a paramedic as a husband so I really take for granted what saving a life can really be like. I have basic first aid but if I was ever in a life or death situation I honestly don’t know if I could save a life. That’s why when I heard you can brush up your lifesaving skills for FREE with a CPR refresher from ACLS National I had to share! Did you know nearly 90% of the 380,000 cardiac related deaths in the US happened at home, the life…
Sunday Social is celebrating their first year doing the link-up!! This week is about going back to basics and getting to know me and my blog. My first time linking up to Sunday Social was August 5, 2012 can you believe it?! How did you come up with your blog name? Coming up with a name was the hard part, it took me days to decide on a really good name that described what I’m all about and who I am. The Real part is that I wanted it to be all about honesty and sharing actual life experiences and the…
I am pretty excited to share this post with you, I was lucky enough to partner with Under Armour thanks to being Fit Fluential Ambassador to bring you information on this amazing campaign and I also got some fun new Under Armour gear because of it!! You’ve probably heard me mentioning the new Under Armour campaign of What’s Beautiful and how I’m setting goals to be more active in my every day life. Don’t get me wrong right now I am active, it isn’t like I sit on the couch and eat chips and watch soap operas all day – trust…
I missed last week since we were traveling home from Seattle so this week’s Sunday Social is a little about summer a little about some other stuff! Hope you enjoy! 1. What is your favorite Social Media outlet? This is a tough one, I would have to say Facebook because you can creep it on people and they don’t know plus the sharing of recipes and fun pictures is endless so always lots to see! 2. Do you subscribe to any daily news reads? If so which ones? The only daily read that I usually get is Notes from the…
Bye, bye wisdom teeth!! Yep! I did it my top wisdom teeth are gone. I regret it for the pain I’m in today but I didn’t realize that the recovery meant laying in bed and lounging all day. Seriously they should market this to all busy Mom’s out there because if I would of know that part I would of done it years ago :). That is as long as you have someone who will watch the kids, with the combination of feeling like crap and T3’s becoming my best friend today it isn’t ideal to be watching the kidlets…
If you’ve all been following along with me I talk about Frank (my hubby) being on shift work so its 3 days- 3 off- 3 nights – 3 off and repeat. Anyways we finally had the kids on a sleeping routine where they are in their own beds around 7ish and can pretty much take care of themselves while they go to sleep. Well Dustin (almost 3) has decided that he is going to join in on the shift work schedule with his Dad and decided to go to sleep at 7:30 pm just to wake up at 10:30 and…
When I had the opportunity to take Lady Speed Stick for a test drive I was all over that, especially with summer around the corner and softball season here. If there is one complaint I have about softball season is that point where the sun is beating down on you and you’re on the hot dirt and you start sweating, get all clammy, and are doing the arm pit check to make sure you aren’t stinking out the other team. Don’t Sweat it. HANDLE IT! When I got these two in the mail I knew we’d be best friends! I threw some…
Another week has come and gone! That means its time for another fun Sunday Social. 1. What is your favorite kind of surprise? I’m not really into surprises but I have to say I really enjoyed my mothers’ day gift last week from Cheyenne! Homemade and from the heart 🙂 2. Flowers or Chocolate? Chocolate! 3. What is your favorite summertime activity? Drinking beer outside soaking in the sun while visiting with friends! Camping and family adventures are pretty fun as well but nothing beats soaking up some rays. 4. Do you have any vacations planned this Summer? Nothing crazy. A few…

Happy Mother’s Day!! For this Sunday Social it is a lot to do with reflection on what I’m doing in the past and present so join in the fun! 1. 1 year ago I was doing …. well I had an almost two-year-old that needed constant attention so I was extremely busy being a Mom! My blog was just starting out so I had a ton to learn and I was trying to find some balance in our crazy busy lives. 2. 5 years ago I was doing …. I also had an almost two-year-old so I was busy, busy, busy, especially…
Many of you know that I am a work at home Mom, which comes with new challenges each and every day. The hardest thing for me has been the learning curve of how to balance EVERYTHING because running a household is a full time job in itself, especially when you have young kids. Part of my personal reflection lately has been on how far I’ve come in the past year learning how to find balance in my life so I figured I would share with all of you! I’ve found that this list has been my top 10 things to…
For me journaling is a no-brainer I can do my reflection of the day and get some things out of my brain and off my chest that I normally couldn’t otherwise. Trust me for the most part I say what I mean and I mean what I say but sometimes I just feel like I’m having a crappy day and need a way to vent. A lot of Momma’s out there ask me what I journal or how to journal, and really there is no right or wrong way to do it. At first I had to use journaling prompts,…

Be there for you when you just need someone…
