5 Simple Steps to Set Yourself Up For Balanced Success

Today marks a new day, a new month and for many of us new goals.  Its like you hear everyone say today is the first day of the rest of your life, do something with it.  At the start of every month I like to set myself up for success and lately that just means finding the balance in my life.

Being a stay at home Mom is hard a lot of the time because sometimes I lose my identity and get wrapped up in my family.  I'm not saying they aren't important but being an individual shouldn't be impossible when you're a Mom.  That's why I'm sharing with how setting yourself up for success is so important!

    Turn Imposible into im possible

5 Simple Steps to Set Yourself Up For Balanced Success

That's right!  Making what seems impossible POSSIBLE!  By taking the time to stop and think about YOU and what YOU really want is more important now then it has ever been.  What does balance look like in your life and what can you do to get there?

Plan, Plan and Plan Some More!

I find that schedules and planning are a big part of our life lately and taking the time to sit down and write things out has really helped.  I shared my Monthly Calendar Printable with you so you can do the same thing.

    Post by Real Momma.

    Get the Family Involved

But remember it is important to share your feeling, hopes, wants and goals with your family because without them on board you will never find that happy balance.  The kids are great at encouragement, my kids and I leave little notes for each other almost every day.  An easy way to take a load off of you is to get the family to help with CHORES! That's right the kids can do their own, grab my printable on Chores for Kids and I breakdown what ages are taking on household chores.

    Be Selfish

Get a little selfish and take some time for Mom!  Nobody is going to blame you if you want to take some time for yourself and meet a friend for coffee, walk around the block or maybe even take a bath solo.  Trust me without small breaks from my Mom life I would never be able to find any balance.

    Its Ok to Say “NO”

As busy Mom's sometimes we feel like we're getting pulled in a million directions all at once.  Before you commit to something next time stop, count to 5 and then respond.  By taking a moment to be aware of the decision you're making will help you avoid having regrets later.  Spreading yourself too thin is never good for anyone.

Journal, Set Goals and Be More

One thing I took for granted for a long time was believing in myself and what I was capable of.  When I finally starting journaling again I started realizing all the things I was putting aside for no real reason.  I challenge you to take my Start Your New Journey Challenge!  It is all about getting where you want to be.  I have a fun vlog where I talk about my journey and why I took the challenge myself.  Take a peek and let me know what you think!

How do you keep everything balanced?

These are some great tips. The “be selfish” in particular is a tough one to achieve but I have found out the hard way that it is essential. After all how can you take care of someone else if you haven’t taken care of yourself?

      Thanks for sharing!

Sometimes I begin to feel like planning is my downfall. I *love* to plan. It’s that I can spend so much time planning that I actually don’t get my work done. I’ve found that I can use planning time as an incentive to get some of my tasks out of the way, though! haha
