Wow, I can't believe it has been a month since I was in Toronto meeting up with old friends, enjoying LINK2013, and saying YES to the opportunities that presented themselves. I connected with a lot of amazing women, made some new friends, and stayed at an incredible hotel in downtown Toronto – The Omni King Edward! I love old buildings and the history behind them, so when I found out this hotel was built in 1903 and was a luxury hotel, I knew the trip was going to be amazing.
A Girls Gotta Have Fun at the Omni King Edward
I originally had a roommate for LINK2013, but she was unable to attend, so I got a huge room all to myself! I can tell you I was very pleased and excited to have some time to myself and I took advantage of every minute of it. I did have a couple of fun-filled days of conferences and mingling, so it was nice to decompress in my room and kick back with a nice glass of wine and check my emails and Facetime with the kidlets! There was also the rumor going around that the hotel was haunted, so that brought a fun element to staying alone.
As guests at the hotel, we were given a special tour where we got to visit the newly renovated rooms, the ballroom that is under construction, and a few other exclusive places in the building. There is a lot of history at this hotel, and the tour guide brought it to life for us telling stories of past guests and how the renovation will bring back to life the old ballroom.
The Omni King Edward has lots of luxury amenities and events such as Afternoon tea on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Perfect for both intimate gatherings and get-togethers with friends, this Toronto social ritual is a special way to spend an afternoon. I had the privilege of doing yoga under the chandeliers in the ballroom even; now that was an amazing experience. With their 18 floors of luxury, you won't be disappointed!
I highly recommend staying at an Omni Hotel on your next vacation, they have exceptional customer service and go above and beyond in luxury for their guests. By joining their loyalty program, you start receiving benefits with your first stay including in-room Wi-Fi, pressings, shoe shine, morning beverage delivery, pressing of two clothing items, and turndown service. That only names a few of the services I took for a spin. Don't forget to check out more of the Omni Hotels and Resorts Select Guest benefits! You won't be disappointed.
