The day we brought our little monkey, Dustin home our family changed for the better, now Cheyenne had a forever friend in her brother and we had two kids to love with all our hearts.
It is hard to believe how fast time goes by when you have kids, it seems like yesterday we were expecting Cheyenne and getting her room ready and now she's going into the fourth grade. Over the years her brother has watched her grow and anticipate the first day of school. He even enjoyed helping her with homework every now and then.
Now it is finally Dustin's turn to start the journey into school with his first day of Kindergarten! He's had lots of practice helping Cheyenne carry her backpack home after a long day.
I don't know who's more excited about the new beginning, Dustin or me! There is something special about going to school for the first time, making new friends and finding out that you're ok on your own. I guess that goes for both of us I'll be alone during the day for the first time in nine years and Dustin will be discovering a whole new world!
I'm prepared for the first day I've stocked up on Puffs for the happy and sad tears as well as to send a few boxes to school for the classroom.
I'm going to make sure Dustin has a few Puffs tissues in his backpack so he can be comforted in knowing he has the softness of home right in his backpack! I may even bring a box with me while I wait with the other parents for the kids to walk through the school doors with their new teachers! Puffs are dermatologist-tested to be gentle on the skin, making them a must for your back-to-school list!
I'm hoping the first day of school brings many happy tears and fun memories for everyone. I'm excited for all of us to start our new beginnings and to find out what the future holds!
What grade are your kids going into?
I received compensation from Puffs for this post but all opinions are my own.

I’m pretty excited but not sure what I’m going to do ALL DAY. Maybe catch up on 9 years of sleep?!
I love reading about little ones starting school for the first time. Must be memories of when I taught Kindergarten! My kids are going into grade 2 and 5 EEK!
I have a parent support group on facebook – many JK Moms join it every year in order to get support. Feel free to ask me for an invite! I’d love to have you join us.

Don’t kids grow up way too fast?! What a great idea having a support group, and a great way to get some parenting tips!
