One of the best tourist destinations in Asia you’ll fall in love with Bali. It is a small, beautiful island with enchanting nature, and friendly people, and famed for its unique arts and cultures. A vacation to Bali is great for many reasons including their marvelously rich culture, beaches that are fabulous for surfing, and of course pure relaxation.
When it comes to planning the perfect luxury retreat we’ve got you covered from timing, attractions, shopping International Travel Medical Plans and even finding the perfect Bali villa rentals.
Planning Your Trip to Bali
One thing to take into consideration is the tropical climate of Bali, the temperatures throughout the year stay around 28°C (82°F). The best time to be there is from May to August when the sun shines bright and the uninvited drizzle keeps the climate cool, but traveling off-season can help you save especially if you want to splurge on luxury accommodations.
Bear in mind that to enter Indonesia your passport must be valid for six months upon entry into Indonesia, and you need proof of onward travel. The visa policy is simple in Indonesia, and most countries are eligible for a free visa that is valid for 30 days.

Finding The Perfect Flight to Bali
Finding a flight to Bali can prove challenging depending on where you’re flying from. Here are a few tips to help you find the perfect flight and save money:
- Always search for flights in incognito or private browsing mode to see the lowest prices.
- Use a flight search engine like Google Flights or AirFareWatchdog where they search all available flights and find the best options available for you
- Find the cheapest days to fly on by choosing the whole month instead of specific dates in the search engine
- Consider budget airlines but keep in mind they charge for every little extra like luggage, carry-ons, food, and beverages
My favorite way to book flights is an overnight flight; usually, they’re cheaper, and I have no problem sleeping on a plane. I find apps like Hopper are great for finding deals even last minute.

Luxurious Accommodations in Bali
Lodging in Bali ranges from small bungalows to huge fancy hotels, all with comfortable accommodations to meet the needs of tourists. The view from your hotel will be pleasant because of the abundant beauty of the area regardless of where you choose to stay.
For those traveling to Bali and are looking to relax and rejuvenate then a luxury villa rental is just what you need! Villas are well equipped, some with private pools, trained cooks, a driver, and even maids. Hiring a private villa will give you the ultimate pampering experience and can be much cheaper and cozier while offering privacy and uninterrupted relaxation.
Attractions in Bali
There are a variety of things to do in Bali for all types of travelers from beach lovers to adventure seekers. If you’re lucky enough your villa rental might even come with a driver so getting around the island will be simple.
Beach lovers will quickly fall in love with Bali they can enjoy the sun and surf during the day, and at night the dances and cultural shows on the beach are a must-see. Opt for a candlelit beach dinner, and you’ll never forget your trip to Bali.

Temples seem to be one of the main attractions for those looking for a more cultural experience. The temples are called Pura and provide an opportunity to explore the religion and art of the culture. When visiting the temples be sure to show respect to the religious beliefs of the region, as the Balinese are very religious.
For adventure seekers who want to do more than just surf, there are many scuba diving lessons available and 400 volcanoes to hike and explore.
For those looking to encompass the beauty of the natural surroundings in Bali, the Botanic Gardens are a popular attraction displaying flora and fauna while promoting conservation.
Still not sure what to do? Why not rent a boat for the day and enjoy the relaxation of being in the water.
Shopping in Bali
Bali is a shopper’s paradise, and the locals are very artistic. You can find many boutiques, markets, and roadside stalls all over the island full of paintings, weaving, carvings, handmade baskets, and other arts. Sometimes you’ll find vendors on the crowded beaches and streets offering clothing, jewelry, and beverages. Don’t be afraid to bargain on the price; it might save you a little money on your trip.

What Clothing to Pack for Bali
My rule for packing is to wear what you would wear at home in the summer; a vacation is all about being comfortable and enjoying your time away. Since Bali weather is warm-to-hot throughout the year take light clothes that are casual and comfortable. Don’t forget to pack an extra bathing suit or two, no matter what you’re doing I’m sure you’ll want to take a dip in the water nearby to cool down.
Keep in mind that prayer and religious festivals are common in Bali. When visiting a temple or attending a ceremony cover up and be respectful of those around you.
Bali is an island that offers ancient and traditional culture amidst modern living. You’ll fall in love with the spirit and real beauty of your surroundings. Planning a luxury vacation to Bali on a budget is easier than you think.
