For me a real Italian meal is the kind where you can sit down and enjoy a bottle of wine with the people around the table. I love sitting down and not being in a hurry but just being in the moment. When in Las Vegas if you're looking for this experience visit TREVI by Morton's in Caesar's Palace really close to FIZZ! Trust me you will love the food, atmosphere and the service you get at this amazing restaurant. A quick tip – if you're dining at a restaurant in the Forum Shops and you're driving use the Forum Shops Valet instead of the regular Hotel Valet!
TREVI by Morton's – Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas
Located next to the ‘Fountain of the Gods' at The Forum Shops at Caesars, TREVI offers homemade Italian cuisine…pasta, chicken and veal prepared with true TREVI flair. TREVI is the perfect setting for lunch, dinner, group dining and cocktails.
Sitting by the fountain while eating was a great experience, it was hard to believe that we were in a casino. Just think of sipping a glass of delicious Vino with the rolling water of the fountain in the background, bliss! If the fountain wasn't enough to top off the luxurious dining experience, TREVI truly cares about their patrons when they serve water by the bottle either sparkling or flat. And trust me they have someone just to serve you water, now that makes a girl feel special!
With an extensive wine and cocktail list to pair with every course of your meal you'll be happy you chose to dine by the fountains!
Now for the first course of food, the appies!! We started with Bruschetta topped with tomatoes and shaved parmigiana and the Crabmeat, Spinach, Artichoke Dip. I have to say the Bruschetta was to die for, but maybe that's because it is one of my favorite dishes no matter what restaurant I go to.
Next we shared the Autumn Salad with endive, arugula and chicory, cranberry vinaigrette, candied walnuts, roasted butternut squash, gorgonzola, smoked prosciutto and fig jam crostini. We had Caesar Salad as well which had dressing made at TREVI and was to die for. Both salads were delicious and I recommend both but sometimes I like to stray from traditional and go with something a little outside of the box like the Autumn Salad!
The idea with traditional Italian is to savour your food and spend time with your friends and family. Pass the baguette please!
I was lucky enough to indulge in the Linguine ai Frutti di Mare, TREVI’s signature dish-”A medley of lobster, shrimp, scallops, tomatoes and scallions in a wonderful seafood cream sauce”
My motto has always been to work hard, be honest and treat people the way you'd like to be treated,” said Executive Chef Peter Scaturro “That's the way we treat our guests at TREVI.
The dessert menu is highlighted by TREVI’s hand-crafted gelato, made fresh each morning by Pastry Chef Hank Sbraccia. A walk-up gelato bar, situated at the opposite side of the patio from the main entrance, features a daily array of ten flavors including popular selections such as tiramisu, strawberry sorbeto and chocolate chunk along with Sbraccia’s two new ‘flavors of the day.’ Other sweet treats and Italian coffees are also available at the gelato bar.
Although the Gelato bar was amazing we ended the meal with Italian Cream Cake and the Chocolate Gooey Cake with a lovely cup of Espresso. The combination of sweet and the espresso was enough to leave a girl having to put her belt out a notch just to walk away from the table ;).
Great food. Great Company. Great Time!
