Good Morning! I was up early today in hopes to not be the slow one that will hold Frank up when he's ready to leave for work, so I of course had a little extra time to go over my calendar which reminded me how important it is to take some time for you…myself! Sorry no blog but maybe one for check in this week, I've been crazy busy between work and seeing the kids not much time to do much else.
What was your something new?!
This week is going t be all about loving and living life but remembering to take a time out for yourself even if it is just for a minute. With summer here and the kids out of school it is easy to forget about ourselves and take a breather. There are a lot of benefits to taking care of you first! For me the best benefit is when I am able to take a time out for myself I am able to clear my mind and come back more focused and less distracted, when I get worn out from the kids or work I find that I am quick to snap at them and that isn't fair to anyone.
Your three steps this week are:
- Do something just for you even if it is just sitting by yourself for 5 minutes to clear your head
- It is ok to take a time out, don't feel guilty
- Journal about the differences you see in your life when you do take the 5 minutes to regroup!
As a Mom it is so important to take care of ourselves first that way we can better serve our family and work better as a team! Give yourself permission to be selfish for even 5 minutes this week…and hopefully every day. YOU deserve it!
