This is another contemporary romance novel that combines my love of reading and my favorite sport – hockey. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and couldn't put Playing for You by Aurora Paige down.

What had me hooked on Playing for You
The strong female lead, Arianna Santos, is a successful self-employed business owner who ready to take on any challenge. I love novels that give females a successful and independent role in a book, she doesn't need a man to complete her.
Then comes the hot-headed goalie, Blake Collins, who is willing to do anything to get the girl!
The book dives right into the story and paints a picture of a successful business owner with a recent heartbreak that against all odds she will not only prevail in her personal life but in business too.

I'm looking forward to this Hot On Ice book series! Aurora eloquently dives into the hockey lifestyle while leaving room for a strong female. While I love the way she writes the Canadian slang was a little much when they story took the hockey team to Canada. I think if that is my only issue I don't have anything to complain about.
If you're looking for a fun, romantic read that centers around hockey and a strong female lead then Playing for You is the book for you.
