I am in love with reading, it takes me away to a new world every time I open a book. While I don't read epically long and challenging novels I love rom-coms. Not the Marrying Kind by Kathryn Nolan was a pleasant surprise!

Why I adored Not the Marrying Kind
I related to the main character, Fiona Quinn, from the beginning. From her Type-A personality to holding herself accountable for life goals it was like reading about myself. Throw in her love of music and family and it was easy to root for her from the start.
How do you make a lovable character even better? Throw in a curve ball, in this case bad boy – Max Devlin. He was about to rock her world in more ways than one.
The book starts off slow building the characters and pulling your heart strings back and forth between the two main characters. Throw in some epic music from Led Zepplin and David Bowie and it is a movie in the making!
While at first this book wasn't a page turner for me and I had to put it down and come back to it a few times a quarter of the way in I couldn't stop reading!
Final Musings on Not the Marrying Kind by Kathryn Nolan
This book had the perfect mix of family, love, and passion. I would say this book was a lot tamer when it comes to sexual encounteres than many I've read lately like This Is It by Tess Summers.
Kathryn Nolan did an amazing job of showing love of family and self in this book that was easy to relate to. I have to say I haven't seen those dynamics together in a book for awhile.
If you're looking for a sparks flying, almost teenage romance then Not the Marrying Kind is for you!
