I have to say that when I was given the opportunity to review Crazy Sexy Kitchen by Kris Carr I had mixed feelings but after giving it a chance I am happy to say you gotta have it!!  This book isn't just s recipe book it is a reference guide to healthy living and making simple changes in your diet to improve your health and well being.   I am going to be giving them as gifts to my friends that have EVERYTHING!Crazy Sexy Kitchen: 150 Plant-Empowered Recipes to Ignite a Mouthwatering Revolution

I was pleasantly surprised by all the research that Kris has done on so many topics supporting her philosophy on why we should all be on a plant-based diet.  I was surprised to find out why I'm addicted to cheese and just can't get enough of it – it contains trace amounts of morphine!  That's right I'm a cheese junkie ;).  In Crazy Sexy KitchenCrazy Sexy Kitchen you'll learn:

A nutrient-dense, plant-happy approach to eating and living that harmonizes your beautiful body at the cellular level. It's a celebratory way of life that's deeply connected, healthy, awake and engaged. Now that's SEXY!

After reading the introduction and seeing all the foods we should I avoid I was starting to wonder if food was ever going to be delicious for me again.  Just when I was losing hope in ever eating meat, cheese, bread, and a whole pile of other things Kris introduces her partner for the book:

Joined by Whole Foods chef, Chad Sarno, Crazy Sexy Kitchen offers over 150 delicious, nutrient-dense recipes designed to nourish the mind, body, and soul. My love affair with food was reborn!  I tried a few of the recipe and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious they were even though they didn't contain my usual food sources.  I can't wait to plan a whole menu from the book and really start LOVING and enjoying a plant-based diet.
