I’ve been talking a lot about healthy lifestyle choices and how simple changes can make an impact on my overall well-being.  Now that I’m kicking these habits into high gear by adding more exercise, protein, fruits, and vegetables.
A quick and easy way to increase my protein intake is to make it easy! Balancing back to school and working from home proves to be challenging and I need simple solutions to make my morning start off on the right foot. Â For me convenience is the key; I multitask as I pack lunches, eat breakfast and focus on getting the kids up and out the door.
My breakfast is a protein shake because as soon as the kids are off to school I do a quick workout before starting my work day. I have a hard time finding a protein shake that packs in a lot of protein, is easy to consume and has a great flavor without a chalky residue/texture.
Luckily Premier Protein solved my picky issues.  They’re quick and easy to consume plus the vanilla shake has a strong vanilla flavor and smooth texture.  You can purchase Premier Protein products in Canadian Costco Stores or online, they pack their products with 30 grams of healthy protein and delightful flavors including:
- Chocolate shakes
- Vanilla shakes
- Protein bar variety pack including chocolate peanut butter, yogurt peanut crunch, and dark chocolate mint
These gluten-free pre mixed shakes are 11 ounces containing 160 calories and 1 g of sugar.  I like how the screw cap can be put back on to prevent spills, and the spout is easy to drink from.  The shakes are great cold or at room temperature, I keep a few shakes in the fridge but also have them by the door, so they’re quick to grab on my way out.
If you have a sweet tooth as I do, you’ll love this quick and easy recipe from Premier Protein.
