On May 2nd the movie released on Blu-Ray combo pack. The following review may have a couple spoilers so if you haven't seen the movie yet I don't want to ruin it for you.
Featuring an all-star cast A Dog's Purpose is brought to you from Amblin Entertainment and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment this empathetic and relatable drama will take you on a powerful journey to experience the relationship between dogs and their owner – to love, protect, comfort and always find a way back home.
You'll feel your heart strings pulled by each and every dog in this movie so have a box or two of tissues close by. We each had our favorite dog because I feel they taught us each a lesson on unconditional love and getting out of our comfort zone. For Dustin he loved Bailey, a retriever because he was reminded of his dog, Duchess. Bailey was a loving best friend who helped his owner through thick and thin. He was heartbroken when Bailey's time on this earth was over but thrilled when he came back with a new look but same loving personality. Dustin's thinks that Ethan will never forget the doggy loves from Bailey because it is the best thing to wake up to.
Cheyenne quickly fell in love with Tino, the tiny corgi, because like her dog LouLou it helped the owner find happiness and love that she deserved. Cheyenne and Lou are best friends and spend a lot of time together, they walk to the beat of their own drum and know what each other needs without having to ask.
As for me I loved how the dogs played a strong role in showing the humans that they have what it takes to get out of their comfort zone and become the person they were always intended to be.
If you truly want to know what unconditional love is and be taking through an inspirational uplifting story full of hope and love this movie is for you. Trust me you'll love the humor but be drawn in by the bond between man and his best friend. I personally think a dog has many purposes because they might have one best friend but they also have a family who loves and cares for them in different ways.
Want to treat your pet to something extra special? The recipe that the kids picked to make first in the Emma Lou's Kitchen cookbook is Puppermints in Chapter 4: The Cookie Jar. They thought that it would be a great way to give the dogs a special treat and help with doggie breath. Get 10% off your entire order with the coupon code: BAILEY
