It’s easy for new moms to lose confidence after they have had their little one. After going through a pregnancy that took nine months you can't expect to look like you did pre-baby. Instead, celebrate your new body and the wonderful gift of a child it gave you!! You don’t have to fear going to the beach. Here are some ways to survive the first trip to the beach after having a baby.
Pack water and snacks
We forget how quickly we dehydrate when out in the sun and babies are no different. Make sure you have enough liquids packed for yourself and your babe. An extra bottle and some formula are also a must.
Look into flattering swimwear
Just because you are heading to the beach, it doesn’t mean you have to go for a tiny bikini! For starters, you might want to go for a swimsuit which would be ideal for the beach. Pick one that is a good size that will keep you comfortable. A tankini is a great option for the beach, especially if you're breastfeeding. And remember to wear a suit you love to help you to feel more body confident while on the beach!
Safety First
Don't forget the sunscreen, floaties, and a life jacket! I find that having a beach bag ready to go with everything you'll need is the easiest way to be prepared. From towels to sunscreen you'll be carrying more to the beach with you now.
Embrace your figure
It can be easier said than done, but you need to embrace your new figure when you hit the beach. After all, those marks are just showing the world you did the most magical thing in the world. And there will be other moms on the beach who are also showing off their figures after having a baby. Enjoy the moments with your family because you'll never get those back. You won't remember what you looked like you'll just remember all the memories made so wear that suit, have fun, and enjoy the beach!!

Great post – I can’t wait to get back to the beach post-baby! For me, having a good cotton sundress that I can put over my babysuit has been key to surviving swimsuit season this year. It says on right up until I get into the water or get out and is made of a nice breathable fabric. I also have been using my maternity swimsuit that has a built-in skirt.

Totally agree with this article. Although I don’t have first hand experience we recently went on a family trip after my sis gave birth, i showed her this article and she nodded her head the entire time!!
