I have to admit this is the first year I was organized for spring cleaning! Having a game plan and a checklist to follow, really made the difference I think. Breaking down each room of the house into its own category prepped me to divide and conquer! Now my only question is how am I going to make the most of my clean and organized house?
Make the Most of Your Spring Cleaning
I know my kitchen is the only room in the house that needs attention every day, the rest well, that can wait! I made this little cheat sheet so anyone in the house can quickly clean up the kitchen in about five minutes, then I set aside time every week for a more in-depth cleaning.
Grab your ™, your favorite cleaner and get to work! All it takes is a few minutes a day and the best part is the kids can help out too!
Now that we’ve tackled the one problem area in my house, I figured why not make a daily to-do list so everyone in the house knows where they can help out? You would be surprised at what a couple minutes a day can accomplish in a week!
I have this weekly cleaning list laminated on the fridge so we can check it off as we go and then erase it and be ready for next week! Here is a link to a printable version –> Weekly Cleaning List PDF.
If you start with a clean house, regular cleaning is simple. You feel like you’ve actually accomplished something by the end of the week and can sit back and relax. Breaking the cleaning tasks up into a daily to-do list made me realize that chores don’t have to be a large daunting task it can be as hard or as simple as you make it!
