I'm on a mission to make healthy choices, add more exercise, and feel good about the skin I'm in. Part of my exercise plan is hitting 12,500 steps a day or 30 minutes of exercise, which can be a challenge when I'm trying to meet deadlines or being a chauffeur to the kids. I've made the decision to put myself first and take care of myself.
In order to make positive changes I've had to really dig deep and decide what I want as an individual instead of a Mom, wife, or one of the many roles we all play every day. Meet my new arched enemy, you know the one you love to hate? The Lumo Lift.
Every time you put the Lumo Lift on, you calibrate it, telling it what posture you want to maintain. The trick is not to cheat yourself and to keep your posture comfortable and as perfectly upright as possible. Every time you begin to slouch it gives you a little vibration to remind you to adjust your posture. You can set the interval at which it reminds you to straighten up and track your progress on the app.
Improve Your Posture with Lumo Lift
My goals: 4 hours of good posture and 12,500 steps while my coach, when turned on is 15-second intervals.
The Lumo Lift is magnetic and meant to be installed on your upper body so the sensors can track your posture correctly. I like the clip so it can attach to my bra, all I have to do is clip it on in the morning and I'm set for the day. I might have to readjust the posture a few times throughout the day with a couple of taps on the Lumo, but the process is pretty simple.
I've used other trackers in the past and this is comparable to them but I've never had one that tracks posture. In my eyes posture says a lot about a person, the way you carry yourself shows your confidence and the way you want to be seen by the world.
The downside I've experienced is how it tracks steps, I find that it counts less compared to other step counters. All that means is a few extra steps for me a day, which is beneficial in the grand scheme of things. The price tag of $99.99 seems a little steep but comparable to other trackers on the market.
My thoughts on the Lumo Lift
I enjoy using the Lumo Lift and it keeps me on track with my personal goals and has greatly improved my posture in a short time. The battery holds a charge for up to five days and the app is super simple and straightforward, I like how you can quickly track your progress on one page.
I recommend the Lumo Lift for someone who wants to start making healthy choices and put themselves first. For me the best part is having a coach in the app and how simple it is to improve my posture.
