I’m here to tell all about a few of the best colors to suit your skin/hair best. There are so many different types of mascara, it can get pretty confusing. That’s where this article comes in to tell you all the do’s and don’ts of the mascara world.
What Kind of Mascara You Should Buy
Most of the time, you should go with a natural color that would suit you best.
For example, if you have blonde hair and don’t have naturally black eyelashes, you would be better off with a dark brown color.
You can eliminate some hard choices by asking for some advice from a beauty consultant, just to see which brush would fit your lash shape better. If you have naturally curled lashes, you should use a curled wand for better coverage. So many choices so little time just remember to keep it simple!
Applying Mascara Tips
Applying your mascara can get a little bit messy at times, so here are some quick tips on how to get the clumps out and protect your eye shadow from getting destroyed during the process.
- Tip 1: By placing a spoon over your eye and leaving your eyelashes completely revealed, you can easily apply your mascara without getting it on your eye shadow. This can be especially useful for when you’re putting water proof mascara on—that stuff doesn’t just wipe off when you lick your finger.
- Tip 2: If you slowly shake the mascara while going through your eyelashes, you can get the clumps out and make your look less messy. Another great tip for no clumps is to put a couple eye drops on the mascara wand daily before applying it. This will clean the brush.
- Tip 3: When applying to the lower lashes, wipe off the tip of the mascara wand slightly and lightly go over your lashes with the very tip. This will prevent clumps as well.
What Colors Go Best with Eye Shadow
Black mascara has a dark and mysterious look to it and that makes many people use it. It can be used with beiges and light eye shadow colors, black and dark eye shadow colors, almost every color. For example, if you were to do an orange to deep red eye shadow, you would be able to make those colors pop just with black mascara.
But certain colors that are more colorful, such as pinks and blues, would look better with a dark brown as it would add a gentle softness effect to the look. It would be a bit much with black mascara. Have fun with your mascara and remember a little goes a long way.
You are now equipped to make perfect sense of your mascara!
