As a busy mum, you’ll know how important it is to keep things in control. A well-running household takes a lot of planning and dedication. So if something were to upset the balance, everything would be thrown into chaos.
Emergencies can happen at anytime and they are something we are often given little warning of. When they do occur, it can be all too easy to panic. This will only make matters worse. To best prepare for the worst case scenario, there are certain phone numbers you should keep in your phone book. This way, whenever you need a certain skill in a hurry, their number will always be in easy reach.
Family Doctor
A direct line to your family’s doctor is very useful. If your family suddenly become sick or one of your kids has an accident, you will need to contact your physician as soon as possible. If the situation is very serious, call the emergency services. However, if it isn’t a life or death situation, you will be okay calling your doctor. Make sure it is your family doctor, as they will have all your family’s medical records.
Family Dentist
Much in the same vein, having your dentist’s telephone number handy is also very useful. Dental emergencies are rarer than needing medical attention. But better safe than sorry and keep your local dentist surgery in your phone book. Your family’s Ideal Smiles are very precious and can be ruined by not acting fast in an emergency situation.
Lawyer
The phone number of a local law firm is very handy to have too! Hopefully, you won’t have to use this too often. It’s useful even if you just need some quick legal advice. Having this number available will prevent you from getting in a fluster trying to find one in the phone book. A lawyer’s number in your phonebook will also motivate you to solve any pressing legal matters quickly. So you won’t forget about them!
Insurance Company
If anything ever happens to your home and you need to make a claim on your insurance, it is always better to act quickly. This will then get the ball rolling and you will have the money paid out much sooner. Keep all your policy numbers close to the phone number. This will prevent you from having to scramble around for your documents while you are on the phone.
Partner’s Office Number
Sure, you will know your partner’s cellphone number, but it is also necessary to make a note of their work or office line. There may be a day when they head to work without their cell or they forget to charge it. If this ever occurs, you won’t be able to reach them on it. So prepare for these days by writing their office number in your phone book. If you call the on their office line and they aren’t around, you can always leave a message with their colleagues. Much better than calling a dead cell!
So always be prepared and keep these important numbers in your phonebook. You never know when they will come in handy!
