Discovering Joy: Our Mexico Trip So Far

Our 2013 family vacation to Mexico has been absolutely amazing so far—seriously, we couldn't have asked for anything better! All our travel plans went off without a hitch, and we even managed to be ahead of schedule for our flights. No complaints here, just pure vacation bliss!

Our Amazing Family Vacation & Life Lessons Learned

This trip has really made me realize a few things:

  1. Putting a positive vibe out there and waiting for something magical to happen is super exciting!
  2. Life is way too short to stress over the little stuff.
  3. Not having a set plan is totally okay.
  4. I love having the hardest decision of the day be which bathing suit to wear.

Before we left, I had a call with my life coach and made a plan to be relaxed and just go with the flow. And let me tell you, for someone with a type A personality like mine, that's a big deal! I start my day with some meditation and journaling, then just see where the day takes me. Setting the tone for my day and seeing what the universe has to offer has been a game-changer. Life keeps surprising me in the best ways!

Celebrating Life

Today is getting to me because it would have been my Grandma's birthday. I can't believe a year has gone by already. So, in her honor, I'm choosing to celebrate life today. Kids grow up too fast, we lose loved ones too easily, and we get so busy that we forget to appreciate the present. So here's to seizing those special moments today!

  • I'm so glad to read that things are going better than expected and that you are taking life by the horns. I can't wait to hear all about it when you return.

    Life is short.
