For those that know me you know I am a lover of wine and food, especially cheese! The one place that has all things I love in one beautiful place is the Banff Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival. The scenery is simply amazing but with the atmosphere of wine and food it is that much better. Surround yourself in pure elegance and take a trip to Banff to indulge! I wish I could attend this one but kids don't really mix with a wine and food festival.

You've probably read my previous posts from Winefest in Calgary and know this event is amazing and a must-attend! My best advice is grab a girlfriend and make a weekend out of it you'll be happy you did there is no better place than the Fairmont Banff Springs to relax at.
The Bow Valley’s most distinctive wine and food event is celebrating another decadent weekend in the Rockies. The Banff Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival invites guests to sample from an extensive array of wine, scotch, beer and other offerings, paired with delicious food samples. Wine and beverage experts will be on hand to impart their knowledge and provide tasting notes as attendees sip and sample their way from booth to booth.

The Grand Tasting Hall will feature delectable cuisine from Banff and area restaurants and eateries including samples from:

- The Rimrock Resort Hotel,
- Sunshine Mountain Lodge,
- Balkan the Greek Restaurant,
- Valbella Gourmet Foods, and many more.
Attendees can also download the Banff Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival free mobile app for smartphone users. The new Festival App allows attendees to create tasting notes and bookmark all of their favourite products.
This year, the Banff Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival is proud to announce the brand new 2014 title sponsor, Sobeys Liquor.
During the event, attendees can visit the on-site Sobeys Liquor store to purchase their favorite finds to enjoy at home. Liquor Connect will also be available, selling wine slings to free up attendees' hands for sampling and using the Festival App.
