What I’m Reading: A Shade Of Vampire

I have been successful with stealing a few moments for myself here and there lately, which for me is a HUGE accomplishment.  I've started loading books onto my iPhone using the kindle app, best decision ever!!  Not only has this made me start reading again but I can easily get lost in a book (well a good book) anywhere and anytime of the day.  My love for reading is reborn!!

Now back to what I'm reading now: [amazon_link id=”1481280767″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forrest[/amazon_link]

This book for me has seriously been a page turner and I can't wait to sneak a few minutes for myself to pick it up where I left off.  To give you a sneak peak I have included a little excerpt below.

On the evening of Sofia Claremont's seventeenth birthday, she is sucked into a nightmare from which she cannot wake.
A quiet evening walk along a beach brings her face to face with a dangerous pale creature that craves much more than her blood.
She is kidnapped to an island where the sun is eternally forbidden to shine.
An island uncharted by any map and ruled by the most powerful vampire coven on the planet. She wakes here as a slave, a captive in chains.
Sofia's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn when she is the one selected out of hundreds of girls to join the harem of Derek Novak, the dark royal Prince.
Despite his addiction to power and obsessive thirst for her blood, Sofia soon realizes that the safest place on the island is within his quarters, and she must do all within her power to win him over if she is to survive even one more night.
Will she succeed? …or is she destined to the same fate that all other girls have met at the hands of the Novaks?

If that doesn't want to make you pick up a copy of an easy to read  supernatural book that takes you into a young adult paranormal romance, then I don't know what will.  But if it does I would recommend A Shade of Vampire!!   The book is not only fun to read but easy to follow!  It is definitely a great book for teens as the author has kept it tasteful with no sex scenes but also for Mom's who need an easy read that they can get through fast – an easy read for one afternoon or take your time and fit it into your life when you can.  I think that is my favorite part about A Shade of Vampire, it is truly the perfect length novel – not too long but yet not too short and she gives you just enough information to leave you wanting more!

I don't want to give too much away but seriously you will fall in LOVE with Sofia and her innocence while Derek has a wild desire for Sofia that causes an inner conflict that he has to deal with.  While reading the book it was easy to see it come alive off the page and really get involved, let's just say with the mix of vampires and witches there is a lot of suspense and cliff hanger moments that leave you wanting the next book NOW!  I seriously can't believe how well Bella describes everyone in the book giving them their own traits and personalities, you either want to run and hide or help, trust me at times I was scared to see what would happen next but just had to keep reading.
