1.  Don’t share your lip gloss with others.

Sharing your lipstick or lip-gloss can give you unwanted germs, or quite possibly cold sores. Their dry lips can wait.

2.  Keep all of your makeup organized.

If you don’t keep all of your products together, you might lose them. If you want a way to organize your makeup, you can buy a case or a tote to put your products in.

3.  Take good care of your products.

Make sure you close everything when you’re done using it. Leaving your mascara tube open will dry out your brush and the mascara itself.

4.  Know when your makeup expires.

Every makeup product expires eventually.

• Mascara 3-4 months
• Liquid eyeliner 6 months
• Eyeliner 8-14 months
• Foundation 6-12 months
• Lipgloss 1 year
• Nail polish 2 years
• Powders 2 years
• Eye shadow/bronzer/blush 2 years

5.  Make sure your foundation color matches your neck, not your face.

Matching your foundation to your neck is a lot better than matching it to your face, as your neck doesn’t get tanned as much and your neck color should match your face color.

You wouldn’t want to walk around with an orange face and a pale neck, would you?

6.  Don’t put concealer or foundation on your eyelids.

Putting concealer or foundation on your eyelids will cause your eye makeup to crease. Instead, use a nice eyelid primer to keep your eye makeup vibrant and staying on the whole day. Eyelid primer is just like foundation, only used on your eyelids.

7.  Smile while applying blush.

Smiling will make it easier to apply blush on the apples of your cheeks, creating a better look.

8.  Apply white eyeliner on your water lines.

Have you ever wanted that effect that makes your eyes look bigger than they actually are? All you need is a white pencil eyeliner!

All you do, is:

Stretch your waterlines, which are located just above your eye lashes. They border your eyeball and your skin. Stretch them down and apply white eyeliner onto them. This will create an enlarging effect.

9.  Don’t throw away your mascara brushes.

Never throw your mascara wands away. You can always reuse them somehow. They can be used as eyebrow brushes or applying color to your eyebrows. Just clean them off with water and soap. Then brush the wand along your eyebrows to straighten them out.

10.  Put a blow dryer on your eyelash curler for a better effect.

Blow drying your eyelash curler has the same effect as the heat on your hair curler.

Only blow dry your curler for 3-5 seconds, otherwise it will be too hot and burn you.

After the eyelash curler is hot, proceed to curl your eyelashes. This will curl them better and give you those natural and beautiful eyelashes you’ve always wanted.
