We all have one or more people in our life who are special to us. Although we may appreciate and care about someone, we often neglect to let them know what we feel, and regret it when it is too late. Making someone’s day special doesn’t have to be complicated.
There are many ways to make someone’s day special, and I’m sharing a few I thought were fun.
Make A Phone Call
Now that emailing, instant messaging, and texting have become a way of life, it’s easy to go for long periods of time without hearing the voice of a friend. Pick up the phone and make a call to someone important to you. Show them you care and have set time aside to catch up with them.
Send A Letter
Another thing we have lost in modern times is the art of a nice, handwritten letter. Emails are convenient, but there is nothing like opening up a letter that is handwritten. Give it a try and see what kind of a response you get.
Give A Compliment
Flattery is painfully obvious, and only makes you look manipulative. On the other hand, a genuine compliment can do a lot to make a person feel special. Letting someone know what you admire about them can be an encouragement to them and help them get through a tough day.
Send Them Flowers
Nothing says I’m thinking of you like flowers. If it’s someone’s birthday, why not order birthday flowers and send it to them at work or home. Taking the time to order flowers and send a little note says you care and remember their special day.
