The yearly spring ritual is upon us! Time to break out the cleaning supplies and garbage bags. In the fast-paced world we live in today, we want everything to happen instantaneously, in reality that will never happen. Spring cleaning is a process, that when taken step by step, will eventually make our lives easier!
I’m a list person because I LOVE to check things off because each check mark feels like a small victory. The list also makes me feel like I have a plan and know what I need to tackle instead of running around like a chicken with its head cut off. So first things first…
Set a goal!
You aren’t doing all this hard work for the fun of it, what exactly is your motivation behind spring cleaning?
For me – To be more organized and cleanse my space, out with the old and in with the new!
Motivation is the key to getting things done and getting them done fast! By having a clear end in sight it is easier to power through the list and reach your goal. The plan…
Spring Cleaning Checklist
I’ve put it all on one list so we can follow along and check things off as they’re completed!

Extremely informative post! There is a lot of useful information about spring cleaning. Thanks for the cleaning checklist and the tips, I found them very helpful!!
Thank you for the great tips I so need to get busy cleaning for the spring.
Doing it yourself is great, when it’s possible. But time and again well-intentioned people try to clean a stain from their carpet or furniture, and end up making it nor only worse but actually permanent. There’s a plethora of sites online that can guide you on the proper method of removing a stain. Use them. Our company operates a courtesy site (www.reliablecleaning.ca) for that express purpose. The most important thing to remember about removing any stain from any carpet, exotic area rug, upholstered furniture or, for that matter, washable fabric is to do it as quickly as possible, With rare exceptions, the older the stain the more difficult it will be to remove.

I don’t mind spring cleaning I just dislike finding places to take all the stuff I need to get rid of, like old clothing and other stuff that don’t fit or we no longer need!

Thanks for all of this info! I absolutely detest cleaning of any kind, lol, but usually do a spring clean if my arthritis lets me!
