Cheyenne and Dustin are big fans of Pound Puppies and were thrilled when the new DVD arrived in the mailbox.  What I like is the episodes entertain both of them and with a 10-year-old and 5-year-old that doesn't happen often.  They both walk away with different lessons learned but they can still bond over each episode as they laugh together and root for the pups from Shelter 17.

I appreciate how Pound Puppies puts a lesson with each episode on how to be a better friend, leader and individual.  Until I sat down and actually watched an episode with them I never did fully appreciate the work and energy that is put into making a cartoon like this.  I can understand why they are the winner of the 2012 Humanitas Prize in Children's Animation.
