Lately it seems like days run into nights and nights run into days, I honestly can’t remember the last time I’ve washed my hair. It is funny the little things that become a luxury when you’re a Mom. Now that spring is here and the sun has made an appearance I thought it was time for me to take a night off and do a little pampering! My plan is pretty simple, all I want is a little quiet time and to freshen up my appearance with a little hair colour, nail polish and maybe a few treats. Call me selfish but there is nothing better than binging on some ice cream and chocolate while I sit and relax. The contest runs until May 22^nd so now is the time to be a little selfish and pamper yourself. I headed to Shoppers Drug Mart to make a few purchases and plan my fun night off. They have a lot of products available for the spring season and you can earn Shoppers Optimum Points on almost every purchase in-store. What I like the most is that the store is open late so I can head in after dinner once the kids calm down and get ready for bed.

I decided to try the Clairol Expert Collection Age Defy Hair Colour in Medium Golden Brown and grab a Venus Swirl Razor with Fexiball Technology to say good bye to winter and hello to spring! And to hide the evidence of my ice cream and chocolate binge I grabbed Crest 3D White Brilliance Mesmerizing Mint Toothpaste! After a quick shop, which was like a mini-vacation without the kids, I was ready for my Mom’s night off at home!

1. Pre-treat dry hair
2. Prepare the colour and apply all over, wait 35 minutes (perfect to indulge in some ice cream and chocolate)
3. Rinse and condition (a few minutes to shave your legs while you let the conditioner sit)

While I waited for my colour to set I enjoyed my Ben & Jerry’s Peanut Butter Half Baked Ice Cream and a Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Bar. All I can say is when you don’t have to share it makes a treat that much sweeter!
