I know it is a day late but with getting back from vacation, cleaning, sick kids, and a new puppy I am swamped. That's why I'm sharing a little tip with you. I reached out to my tribe on Facebook, who are a mix of great individuals with LOTS of busy Momma's just like me, and asked what they do when things don't go as planned. The best response I got was:
I always tell myself everything can wait
I don't know about you but for me I seriously thought of giving myself a swift kick because it is so simple but effective. Sometimes you forget that cleaning, laundry, work, and routine can just wait. It will all be there for you when you're ready to tackle it. Taking care of what is most important to me, my family, is the best use of my time. Both my kids are sick, and thankfully they don't have the stomach bug that is going around so at least there is something to be thankful for but I still feel so helpless not being able to really do anything for them.
I am the first one to tell you that I need to just go with the flow and expect the unexpected so why can't I just let it go and take my own advice?! That's a whole other blog post that I'm sure you all don't want to read and I'm sure I don't want to either. My advice to you this week is:
It's OK, it can WAIT!!
I have faith that I can sit back, relax, and enjoy being ok with not tackling everything at once. This is going to be a tough battle for me this weekend but I think a little R&R is what my family needs right now. If you get a moment check out my old post about One Moment Meditation it has helped me tremendously these past few days! A tool I keep going back to over and over again.
For now I'm going to say wish me luck, I'm going to need it and I'd love to hear your tips on how you cope when things just seem to not work out as planned. You can always find me on Facebook and Twitter too!!
