With the holiday season in full swing and the cold weather creeping up on us I am pleasantly reminded of all the things I love about this time of year. Food, friends, family, and the smell of turkey cooking! In our home we usually celebrate Thanksgiving twice since I'm Canadian and Frank's American and then there is Christmas, so we get our fill of turkey. That's also why my kitchen is the heart of our home! I honestly can't remember the last time we've had company over and not gathered in the kitchen or come home to unload backpacks and shopping bags. It truly is our go to place filled with many memories of the past and hope for the future.
My Kitchen is the Heart of Our Home! #FinishYourKitchen
I always find myself reorganizing to make the kitchen more efficient or to create more counter space for those big meals when guests are overflowing! Those are the moments I like when the kitchen is filled with love and laughter. Our table seats 10 when it doesn't have a leaf in it just because we love the energy a delicious meal brings to a group of people! I just find that my kitchen is always too small and that is something I'm always battling against.
Kitchen Reorganizing and The Coffee Bar!
My latest kitchen reorganizing, creating the coffee bar, made me realize I dream of a HUGE country kitchen with a vintage touch! Just imagine a large island, double convection ovens, wine rack, chandelier, two dishwashers, wide open timber framed space with concrete counters, dark cupboards and a sound system that will rock your socks off! Trust me this isn't the first time I started dreaming, I have a vision in mind of the perfect kitchen where family and friends can gather for amazing dinner parties to make unforgettable memories. Check out my Pinterest board if you don't believe me ;). Oh and maybe a live in maid/nanny so it always stays clean so I don't end up with this disaster:
One downside to hosting a large group of people is the clean up that's why my request for a maid/nanny is with my dream kitchen. I always try to clean up as I go but for some reason the dishes always seem to pile up and I can't stay on top of them. Guests usually offer to help but you know how that is, especially after a few glasses of wine and handling my china, ahh! Let's not go there, we'll just say been there done that and won't do it again. I've learned to let Finish Quantum tablets do the hard work for me!
Why I trust Finish Quantum over my guests:
- Power Rinse Aid to wash away the food and residue and leaving dishes sparkling
- Quick Dissolving POWER GEL to penetrate and clean off 24 hour baked on food
- Advance Powder with Bleach to clean those tough stains like tea and coffee
