During the holiday season, we’re busier than ever. Between cleaning the house, baking gingerbread, and wrapping gifts for everyone, who has the time to consider party outfits? And don’t even get me started on Christmas shopping and relative hosting.
Fortunately, there are a few tricks we can use to get a polished holiday look, without actually putting too much effort into it. Here is our list of party must-haves for moms, which will take you from drab to glam in just a few minutes: something sparkly, something fab, something useful, something red! It’s easy to remember, isn’t it?
Holiday Gift Guide 2013: Holiday Party Must-Haves for Moms
1. Something sparkly. It’s not a holiday party if you don’t wear sequins or glitter! You can pick a comfortable sweater that will keep you warm and hide your tummy, while also looking glam. However, if that’s too much sparkle for you, just pick a glitter nail polish – it’s the easiest and least time consuming type of nail art there is.
2. Something fab. Whether it’s Christmas or New Year’s, you want to feel special and fabulous. Wear a piece of jewelry that’s dear to you, like say, family heritage, or something brand new like a statement necklace. If it’s something you feel good in, it will show!
3. Something useful. Although glamour is sometimes put first, it’s comfort that matters most. You might find yourself running after the kids to put them to bed half the night, and then being too tired for anything the rest of it… The next day, you’ll be glad you had sunglasses with you – plus you’ll wear them throughout the New Year.
4. Something red. Red is so festive and flattering! If you don’t want to go for the classic (often uncomfortable) red dress, how about some lovely red flats? You’ll be able to dance as you wish, and still feel like you’re dressed the part. And don’t forget the mandatory red lipstick – it makes any woman look put together and elegant!
