Healthy Cinnamon-Raisin Oatmeal Cookies

While I’m not a fan of bananas everyone in the house is so this recipe was a big hit!  This cinnamon-raisin oatmeal recipe is made with bananas instead of flour.  You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how simple they are to make and how fast they disappear!

If your family likes bananas they might enjoy our banana-chocolate chunk muffins or this quick and easy banana cream frozen yogurt recipe.

Healthy Cinnamon-Raisin Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

Healthy Cinnamon-Raisin Oatmeal Cookies Ingredients:

  • 2 large overripe bananas
  • 2 c. rolled oats, divided
  • ½ t. baking soda
  • 2 t. ground cinnamon
  • 1½ T. maple syrup
  • ¼ t. salt
  • ½ c. raisins

You’ll find these kitchen tools useful (I've included affiliate links to the products I use at home):

  • Large Sheet Pan, I use a commercial-sized sheet pan, I find the larger surface allows room to spread everything out and for an even bake.
  • Silicone Baking Mat, this is one of my favorite kitchen tools because you can use it over and over again (after washing) and it evenly bakes whatever you have on the sheet pan.  Or parchment paper works great too.

Healthy Cinnamon-Raisin Oatmeal Cookies Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a large, rimmed baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper or a Silpat baking mat.
  2. In a high-speed blender or a food processor, blend one cup of rolled oats into flour and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, mash the banana with a fork until smooth. (A few chunks are okay). Add the oat flour, remaining rolled oats, baking soda, cinnamon, maple syrup, and salt. Stir vigorously to combine, and then fold in the raisins.
  4. Scoop out 2 tablespoons per cookie from the mixture and form into balls. Place each cookie onto the prepared baking sheet without overcrowding.
  5. Place in the preheated oven and bake until the cookies are lightly golden brown and just barely set to the touch, approximately 16-20 minutes. Remove from oven and cool for at least 15 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Tip: For flatter cookies, press each ball down slightly before baking and reduce baking time by 1-2 minutes.

These cookies are great to have around the house for a quick and easy snack.  The kids will love this healthy version of cinnamon-raisin oatmeal cookies.  We hope you like this recipe as much as we do.
