Christmas is fast approaching which means it is time to purchase your favorite collectible Hallmark ornaments to give as gifts or put on your tree. In my family it is a tradition to get a Baby's First Christmas, First Christmas Together, and Marriage ornament. I guess you could say in a way it is highlighting the milestones in our lives so every time we hang that special ornament we remember.

On the Hallmark Ornament Blog you can get the latest ornament news and find out the story and description behind a specific series. A series I find unique is the Disney or Wizard of Oz Ornaments. In 1994 Hallmark offered the first set of ornaments that included the four main characters – Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow and Lion. In 1995 they added Glinda the Good Witch followed by the Wicked Witch in 1996. This year, Hallmark Ornaments is celebrating the 75th year since the Wizard of Oz movie was produced with six different selections to add to your collections. There is nothing that can replace a classic like the Wizard of Oz and the ornaments can be handed down from generation to generation sharing the special memories each and every year.
