I never realized how different boys and girls were to potty train, I thought that the second time around would be easier than the first but boy was I wrong. The first time around with Cheyenne we didn't have any issues and was out of diapers within a week but with Dustin it is a whole new ballgame.
For the second time around with Dustin I have to say that with a boy I just assumed things would be easier. I thought it would be simple, easy and be over with before I knew it. Boy was I WRONG. Potty training during the day was simple and a breeze because he figured out he could go anywhere, and by anywhere I even caught him peeing off the sundeck this summer. When it came to nights things were a little different and we're still dealing with bed wetting and its been a good six months.
Bed wetting isn't just a pain to clean up but it made him feel like he was doing something wrong. He didn't want to wear diapers at night because they're for babies but I didn't want to wake up in the morning to soaked sheets and having to do yet another load of laundry. As a Mom I do enough laundry each and every day and dealing with pee stained sheets is not one of my favorite things to do.
The solution:
GoodNites® – Less Laundry for Mom more Confidence for Kids!
GoodNites * TRU-FIT* changed our world. Not only did Dustin think he was wearing underwear to bed he was HAPPY in the morning because he had dry sheets! A win for him and me. They brought back his confidence and not having to feel like a baby because he was wearing a diaper or that the bed was wet in the morning.
The GoodNites® are simple to use and easy to wash! All you have to do is purchase a starter pack – you choose either boy or girl – and then a refill pack as needed. They can be found at any major retailer. The GoodNites * TRU-FIT* are machine washable and cotton-blend so soft enough for their bottoms and durable enough to be washed time and time again.

I have to say that I've noticed a huge improvement with Dustin and there are no more fights at night to get a diaper on him. I can't tell you how many times I've given up and just let him go to bed without one and woke up to a wet bed. Now we don't have that problem he's happy to put on his big boy “sleep undies” and hop into bed. No fights at night and no sheets to clean in the morning makes for a happy Mom and confident toddler!
Have you ever had to deal with bed wetting?
