In the recent past, more and more people have been discovering the benefits of indoor water fountains.
Fountains Promote Relaxation And Relieve Stress
Stress levels in the modern world are on the rise. By the time most people get home from work after a long day, they are exhausted and stressed out. One of the best ways to relax and unwind is by closing your eyes and listening to the sound of gently trickling water. An indoor water fountain brings the serenity and beauty of running water into your home where you can use it as a tool for relaxation. Avoid going overboard, however. According to Soothing Walls some water fountains are extremely noisy which can leave you feeling even more agitated. Listen closely to a fountain before you buy it to make sure that the sound of the water is loud enough to hear but not so loud that it is distracting.
A Decorative Accessory For Your Home And Garden
Some fountains are designed to be used both indoors and outdoors, providing you with a lot of versatility. From small tabletop fountains to large floor-standing or wall mounted fountains, there are countless different styles available. When choosing a model, think about how it will fit with the rest of the decor in your home or garden. Interior designers have started turning wall-mounted fountains into key decorative centerpieces in rooms that they design.
Add Moisture To The Air
Indoor water fountains can be particularly beneficial in dry climates or in areas that experience dry winter conditions. Although you can use a traditional humidifier to increase indoor humidity levels, they usually are noisy and lack the visual appeal of a fountain. They are also likely to develop mold or mildew since they rely on standing water. When you choose an indoor water fountain, you don't have to worry about these issues since the water is always moving. Having a water fountain inside your home is a great option if you have houseplants since higher humidity levels can help them thrive.
Enjoy Better Indoor Air Quality
Air purifiers usually work by giving off negatively-charged ions to remove small pieces of dust or contaminants from the air. You can accomplish the exact same thing with an indoor water fountain. The movement of the water gives off negative ions, attracting dust particles and removing them from the air. This can result in better indoor air quality. Along with being able to listen to the relaxing sounds of your fountain, you can also enjoy pure, clean air. Not only are fountains more attractive than air purifiers but they are also usually less expensive, making them a great option for any home.
Fresh, Moving Water For Your Pets
Animals like dogs and cats are naturally drawn to sources of moving water. All you have to do is turn on the garden hose to see just how much they enjoy drinking from streams of water. A lot of pets enjoy drinking water out of indoor fountains. This is perfectly fine as long as you don't add any chemicals to the water. Sometimes, however, you may experience issues with your fountain such as the build-up of algae. In most cases, you can use natural enzymes to clean the fountain without affecting the health of your pets.
Natural Noise Canceling Properties
The sound of running water can do wonders for blocking out unwanted noises such as traffic or noisy neighbors. Chances are, you will be amazed by how much less annoying sounds like a barking neighbor dog or cars going by on the street are when you have soft water noises to help block them out. An indoor fountain can turn your home into a relaxing retreat where you can kick back and unwind without distractions.

I agree that installing a water fountain in the home can make a good stress reliever after a long day’s work. You got me when you said that a simple closing of your eyes while hearing the sound of the water gushing from the fountain sure is helpful to keep you calm and at peace with the nature. This is something that I’ve always wanted to achieve in the home since most of my hours in a day are consumed with work. I prefer having one of those standing water fountains in my spacious yard so I have something to look forward to seeing and hearing while I’m relaxing at home. I’ll definitely get one of these as soon as I am able to pick my options!
It’s really interesting how you said that an indoor fountain can function much like an air purifier. My wife and I were just talking the other day about the fact that we feel like hour house has smelt really weird. Getting a fountain inside would really help the smell so we will have to look around and find something to help with the smell.
I was unaware that outdoor garden water fountains can relieve stress. Maybe I should buy some online because they can serve as a decorative accessory in my backyard. As far as I’m concerned, it would help me a lot because it will add moisture to the air which will help me breathe better so I’ll consider it.
That is interesting that you can get a fountain that is designed to be both indoor or outdoor. Maybe it would be good to get a unique outdoor fountain that I could use. This is something I would want to look into sometime soon so my wife can get a fountain for our yard.
