We're on the road for ten days as part of our summer vacation. We planned out a route that would take us to some amazing locations from Montana to Nevada and back. Being in the car with two kids, two adults and a dog for that long makes for a rough go though and I haven't even got to the food part yet! Part of the plan was to do one stop shopping at Walmart where the adults would split the list, take a kid and run in to buy the goods. Keeping in mind we are limited on space and cooking supplies we had to opt for some quick and easy meals. First up is tortellini with chicken and pesto.
For the chicken I went the easy route and grabbed some Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips because they're:
- 100% all-natural and made with all-white meat
- 97% fat-free
- Effortless way to make healthy home cooked meals
- Fully Cooked
All you have to do is open the bag and add it to your meal and you have a great source of protein in a snap, plus they're delicious!
We cooked the tortellini over our small camp stove, drained it and placed it in a bowl ready to mix in the pesto and chicken. Sliced up some fresh french bread and we had a delicious meal in under 20 minutes. Talk about quick and easy!
