A Mini Adventure with The Kids!

The weather has been amazing lately so we decided to take the kids out on a little mini adventure.  With the top off the jeep, a small cooler packed with drinks, and a quick spray of sunscreen we were out the door and ready for some family fun!

I find the easiest way to have a spur of the moment adventure and be out the door quickly is to have a small cooler pack ready to go with and all you have to do is throw in a couple water bottles, apples, and some kid friendly snacks and you are out the door in less than 2 minutes!  The hardest part is getting the kids ready with their clothes, shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, and the list goes on.  We try to keep all the things they'll need for a quick adventure in their bin by the door that way we don't have to search the whole house for a pair of sunglasses that are impossible to find.

I love how our only worry for the day was what apple slice would Dustin eat.  He had a little snack collection set up on a rock and two slices in his hand at a time.

What are your quick tips on getting the kids out the door?
