Tackle Your Entrance with Royale® Tiger Towel™

Now that I have a spring cleaning plan, put Royale^® Tiger Towel™ to the test on the car, now I thought it would be a great time to tackle some organization!

What’s the first thing you notice when you enter someone’s home? Is it the colour of the walls, a piece of artwork or the cleanliness of the entrance?

For me I always notice the cleanliness, I don’t know why but it is like a first impression and sets the mood of the whole visit for me. That’s why this week I’m tackling my entryway.

First – step outside, close the door.

Second – Pretend you’re a guest at your own house open the door and note your first observations.

• Is there a doormat to wipe your shoes?
• Is there somewhere to hang your jacket?
• Is there space to neatly put your shoes to the side?
• Is the area clean?
• Is the space free of clutter?
• Is it welcoming?

Taking a moment to be a guest in your own home might give you a little insight into how others see your home when they enter. After you’ve thought through all of these things it is time to make a plan!

Let’s roll up our sleeves and get to work. After taking note of the impression you got when you entered the house you’ll know where you want to start to make changes.

1. Remove any unnecessary items – winter coats, boots and anything that is no longer in use
2. Best use of space – do you need to hang coat hooks, maybe purchase a boot rack, a place to store keys?
3. Time to thoroughly clean the entryway, the checklist below will be helpful

Coming in the door and seeing an organized entrance will make you feel productive and that you’ve come a long way from the original chaos. I know that tackling the entrance gave me the inspiration I needed to tackle the rest of the house.
