We all know Father's Day is just around the corner and I found the perfect gift that any clean shaven Dad will love for a gift. The Philips Shaver Series 9000 is amongst the most technologically advanced on the market, cutting 20% more hair in a single pass without compromising comfort.
I have to admit this gift was a little two-sided since I thought it would make Frank shave more and with the sunny weather I might be able to steal it for my legs! I guess I can relate to him not wanting to shave all the time but when he's off work for 3 days or more the facial hair gets a little long. Needless to say, he received his gift a couple weeks early this year.
The video below is of Frank's first use of the razor, he wanted to try out a few of the features including using shaving cream.
The neat features he likes are:
- Personal Comfort Setting – choose between 3 speed settings
- AquaTec Wet & Dry – easily shave wet or dry
- Quick charge – 5-minute quick charge for a single shave
- Comes with a precision trimmer
- Low Friction SkinGlide – left no irritation after first use
What I liked is the SmartClean feature that keeps the shaver like new every day! The dual filtration system cleans hair, foam and gel once the razor is placed on the base. While on the base the shaver charges, it only takes an hour for a full charge that lasts for 50 minutes of shaving! This is perfect if you want to steal the razor to shave your legs without him knowing!
I have to admit I was a bit nervous about giving him a razor as a gift. Luckily the Philips Shaver Series 9000 was a big hit.
The only downside we've had so far is the SmartClean function turning on in the middle of the night. It is a normal function of the system if you leave the razor in the base while not in use. For a light sleeper it will probably wake you up, but if you sleep like a rock (like me) you don't even notice!
Taking cost into consideration and ease of use with the new razor we're ahead of the game! Especially when Frank wants to actually shave on his days off instead of looking like a mountain man.
This shaver would make the perfect Father's Day gift, especially for those in our lives who like to be clean shaven!
What's your shaving preference on a guy? Clean, stuble, beard, or?
