I have to say that Netflix is one of sanity savers whether it be for myself or to keep the kids busy so I can get some work done or just have a few quiet moments by myself. Whatever your reason for using Netflix there is always something to watch from documentaries to movies or even a comedy sitcom. I've been hooked on a few shows lately mainly Orange is the New Black, 90210 and Suits! Once you start watching you just can't stop, or maybe that's just me.
Netflix Goes Canadian!
What surprised me the most was all the Canadian content on Netflix. For example Are You Afraid of the Dark, was a favorite of mine growing up and takes place right in Canada! The list doesn't stop there. I am surprised at the number of shows and movies that are filmed in Canada, take place in Canada or where created here. Once you start looking into all the shows out that you'll be surprised at how many link back to Canada in one way or another.
A fun list of a few Canadian titiles available for the kids are:
For the big kids you have:
- Are You Afraid of the Dark?
- Johnny Test
- Black Hole High
- Alpha and Omega
- Erky Perky
- Eliot Kid
- Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days
And the little kids:
- Franny's Feet
- The Busy World of Richard Scarry
- Super Why!
- Animal Mechanicals
- Monster Math Squad
- Team Umizoomi
- Thomas and the Magic Railroad
I'm sure I will find some more out there as well so stay tuned!
