The principles of riding are of course, essentially the same but there are a few striking differences. The full-suspension that is built into a mountain bike will enable you to float down the hill even when the terrain is rough. Try it with someone who is experienced, so they can give you some useful tips.

Nail some tricks

A trick scooter is a perfect way to challenge yourself and stay close to home. There are so many ways to push yourself to your limit on a scooter and of course you can alway zip around town and avoid the traffic. Watch lots of scooter YouTube videos and study techniques – the trick is to not give up too easily! A scooter is a perfect way to start off your buzz for adventure sports.

Bounce around

Get the blood pumping by putting your trust in an oversized inflatable ball. Zorbing was born in New Zealand and has taken off all over the world! You can zorb on your own or with a friend and expect you feel exhilarated as you roll at speed down a hill.

Cut through the sky

Zip lining is a great way to get an aerial view of your surroundings. When you zip, you'll travel from one point to another along a cable, at a great height. Why not take a group of friends with you when you zip line. You can take awesome Instagram photographs of each other as you soar through the sky!

Deeper underground

This may not be suitable if you suffer from claustrophobia but Caving is an extreme sport to consider. Participants will travel through small spaces underground with a constant throat on entrapment present. If you don't have any friends who want to try this with you, research the local clubs in your area.

When you start to embrace extreme sports, it's essential that you take the appropriate safety precautions. You may need to invest in specific equipment or clothing, and it's vital you take instruction from someone experienced. Before you try anything for the first time, make sure you are fit and healthy and identify your weak areas. If you need to pump up in the gym before you embark on an adventure make sure you do this. The fitter you are the easier your challenge will be.
