All About Food – Sunday Social Aug 12

I loved doing last week’s Sunday Social so I figured I’d keep going with it, keep reading to find out about me and food!

If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I would have to say popcorn, I could eat it as a meal and all the flavors you can add as topping the possibilities are endless, the only downfall is the kernels in your teeth but I could live with that.

What’s your guilty pleasure/comfort food?
Chocolate and a lot of it!  I prefer the chocolate with the creamy center but let’s get real when you have kids around whatever you can get your hands on is good enough.

What’s the weirdest/craziest thing you’ve ever eaten?
Does the worm in tequila count?!  If not I would have to say crawfish, I’m not really that adventurous with my food I like to stay on teh safe side.

What foods do you avoid at all costs?
Mustard, mayonnaise, straight eggplant, and smoked fish are all things I avoid especially the straight eggplant we were on a cruise once and it was the appetizer and the grossest thing I have ever tasted.

What meal reminds you of your childhood?
That’s a tough one, I would have to say sloppy joe’s and the sloppier the better!

Share one of your favorite recipes and the story behind it.
I would have to say my favorite recipe is Rice Krispy Squares because I remember making them every time we had a sleepover at my grandparents house when we were kids.  My Grandma used to bake with us girls all the time and let us make a mess and try  new things we loved it!  So here is my best version of my favorite recipe:
